TBR Procedure and Pricing

TBR stands for "To Be Released". If a domain is not renewed within 30 days of its expiry date, it is released by CIRA. Domain names are released at 02:00 PM EST on the day after the 32nd day of the expiry. You can learn the exact dates by logging in to your account, or at the CIRA web site http://www.cira.ca.

If a domain is released, it can be registered by any registrant through our TBR system.

Our system lets you reserve a domain name any time before the expiry. It keeps track of the domains in its TBR queue daily and sends the registration request on behalf of the registrant when the domain is released.

Here's how TBR on Sibername.com works:

• It is an auction-based system.
  
• An auction does not have a starting time. Domains can be submitted any time for back ordering.
  
• An auction ends 15 minutes before the release of the domain - 01:45 PM Eastern Standard Time on the day of the domain release.
  
• The domain will be placed in our TBR submission queue to wait for the highest bidder on that domain name.
  
• The amount offered for the domain name will also determine the rank of that domain name in the general TBR queue; e.g: if a domain name has a top bid of $50 CAD bid and all other domains show lower top bids, this domain will be sent to CIRA for registration as the first domain for the top bidder for that domain name.
  
• Domains in Sibername's TBR queue will be listed in descending order (from highest to lowest).
  
• Domains showing the same bid amount will be listed in order of receipt by Sibername.com..
  
• Upon successful registration, the bid amount will be charged to the customer's credit card or deducted from his account if there is credit available.
  
• When you are the winning bidder, you are obligated to pay the high-bid price for the item. As a rule, retracting bids is not allowed on Sibername.com. Failure to make a payment might cause account suspension. These domains will be transferred to another registrant.
